Urdu alphabet and characters
The Urdu alphabet should display only the following characters. If your document is not showing correctly, then first check that the encoding for that program and font supports Indo-Aryan languages.
Urdu grammar rules
It is an inflected language, i.e. grammatical forms are created by adding various suffixes to fixed stems. It uses postpositions, rather than prepositions, to express various case relationships.
Nouns
There are two genders in Urdu: masculine and feminine. Urdu nouns can be singular and plural. There are three cases: direct, oblique and vocative.
