Tajik alphabet and characters
The Tajik alphabet should display only the following characters. If your document is not showing correctly, then first check that the encoding for that program and font supports Persian languages.
Tajik is currently written in Cyrillic script. The Tajik alphabet added six additional letters to the Cyrillic script inventory.
Tajik grammar rules
The grammatical system of Tajik is similar to Persian and Dari. It is an inflected language with some elements of agglutination. Grammatical forms are created by adding various suffixes to fixed stems.
Nouns have no grammatical gender. There are singular and plural forms. There is no definite article, but the indefinite article exists in the form of the number “one” як yak, and -е -e, the first positioned before the noun and the second joining the noun as a suffix.

Tajik capitalisation usage
- Proper names (people’s names, georgaphic names, countries/cities, companies, names of books, etc).
- Program names and UI elements. In compound names, only the first word is capitalized.
