Standards and Accreditations

In such a competitive, fast-paced and ever-changing industry, we have invested in several standards and accreditations. These allow us to comply with processes and regulations; build and maintain our professional relationships; develop our industry knowledge and stay ahead of the market.

ISO 9001:2008 : Quality management systems

Internationally recognised, the ISO 9001:2008 certification provides the framework for our Quality Management System (QMS) underpinned by eight universal management principles.

The certification relates to quality management systems, their use and incorporation within a quality assurance process at Stepping Stone.

ISO 9001 helps us to ensure that we meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders.

EN 15038:2006 : European Quality Standard for Translation Service Providers

The EN 15038 standard was first published in 2006 by the European Committee for Standardisation and written specifically for the translation industry. It establishes the framework for Translation Service Providers to demonstrate the quality of service delivered to their customers over and above the generic specifications found in ISO 9001 including core prerequisites on education, qualification of suppliers and project process.

With the barriers of entry into the translation industry so minimal, EN 15038 sets the quality benchmark and differentiates between companies who are truly interested in offering the highest quality multilingual consultancy.

EN 17100:2015 : Translation Services

Extending our existing EN 15038 certification, Stepping Stone was certified to the International Standard ISO 17100 in early 2017.

ISO 17100 provides requirements for the core processes, resources and other aspects necessary for the delivery of a quality translation service by a Translation Service Provider.

ISO 17100 covers project management processes and workflows, the translation and revision process, client communications and agreements, handling of information and requirements for the professional competence, qualifications and continuing professional development of project managers and linguists.
