Stepping Stone awarded certification for both EN 15038 and ISO 9001
Stepping Stone has been certified according to both the EN 15038:2006 and ISO 9001:2008 quality standards with the assessment carried out by Bureau Veritas under the UKAS certification body.
Internationally recognised, the ISO 9001:2008 certification provides the framework for our Quality Management System (QMS) underpinned by eight universal management principles. The standard relates to quality management systems, their use and incorporation within a quality assurance process at Stepping Stone.
ISO 9001 ensures that our QMS addresses the needs of our customers and other stakeholders.
The EN 15038:2006 standard was first published in 2006 by the European Committee for Standardisation and written specifically for the translation industry. The standard establishes the framework for Translation Service Providers to demonstrate the quality of service delivered to their customers over and above the generic specifications found in ISO 9001 including core prerequisites on education, qualification of suppliers and project process.
With the barriers of entry into the translation industry so minimal, EN 15038 sets the quality benchmark and differentiates between companies who are truly interested in offering the highest quality multilingual consultancy.
Often companies who purchase translation services are not always in a position to judge the quality of the translated text they receive. The combination of the EN 15038 and 9001 certifications with Stepping Stone’s already established Quality Management System gives our clients further quality assurances and a greater peace of mind.
These awards highlight Stepping Stone’s commitment to ensuring a high level quality of translation services, overall customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of our quality systems.
